CASA EMPANADAS
Our story

Born in Santiago, Chile, Miguel (CEO of Casa Empanadas) first worked in banking before moving to Lille, France in 2003. Unable to find empanadas in France and nostalgic for his mother's cooking, Miguel started making them himself, and they became a hit locally with friends and family.
Miguel's mother worked in an empanada shop in Santiago during her youth and developed her own secret recipes. His mother's "casa" empanadas were not only simple and healthy, but also delicious, irresistible and legendary. Her recipes are now Miguel's.
For Miguel and many South Americans, empanadas are a family and regional tradition (made with pride!) that evokes home, comfort and social activities. Empanadas are meant to be happily shared with friends and family, often accompanied by music or a sporting event.
